It’s meant to be super straight so if it came twisty and wrinkled it would have looked awful. It’s “mod” imho so it’s needs that twiggy look. I can’t find the one I remember but that “shift” a-line look so I has to fit shoulders and arms neatly and gave volume but not too much volume. I have a Kate spade granny coat I wear to work. Similar vibe. So you need to like that look and it has to hit just right. When I tried playing with the belt for shaping I really didn’t think it worked. Returned and reordered a 6, and I’m happy to say they work! I do note they’re a little ‘hip-py’ - that is the hip curve is low and I don’t quite fill them out, but I think it’s ok.
