Monochrome, pants and top so I can remove either/or as opposed to a dress where you have to take it all off. Honestly I try on lots of things with my pants still on underneath.</p> <p>I have found that many midrange shops in my region provide a sort of scarf to drape over the face when trying on clothes, to prevent makeup smudges (also helps with hair mussing). And also, they have “examples” on the shop floor to try on, but if you decide to buy something they will retrieve a pristine wrapped one from the back. I find both of these strategies brilliant.</p> <p>Your items look great! I usually wear a t-shirt, shorts or skirt, and flats/sandals (without an ankle strap or buckle). I don't wear makeup either. My NAS debrief: </p> <p>1) I made it into the sale pretty early on this year.<br /> 2) I’m glad I decided not to be crazy and drive all over the Bay Area. The sale is apparently an online thing mainly now. The pickup section was bigger than the floor space devoted to the sale.<br /> 3) I ordered the shearling jacket and sweatshirt dress online in-store.<br /> 4) Really rather liked the sweatshirt dress despite its unwashability. The fabric was fairly substantial and warm. The M was huge. I looked like Friar Tuck.<br /> 5) I tried on the Avec Les Filles. Huge hesitation over it v. the Edelman. I went and ordered the Edelman, but even in XL and that dangly belt at the bottom, the Avec really looked good to me. The Avec belt btw is secured to the jacket with a snap, which is a plus in my book.<br /> 6) I tried on two pairs of mules... I’m wondering if I have low volume feet. No way I’d be able to keep them ON my feet.<br /> 7) Came away with one extra unintentional thing: a long jacquard jacket (I think it’s B.B. Dakota). I saw it online and had decided to pass even tho I’ve been wanting something all-over ‘embroidered.’ But then I saw it in person...</p> <p>Pics: sweatshirt dress, WIW, long jacket... Lilypup and her carriage... 94F in the suburbs! Lilypup was feelin’ the heat!</p> <p>ETA: Ok, the jacket is the Sal Edelman ‘brocade’ jacket. Jacquard, brocade... what do I know? Lol! </p>
