So sorry for you who are experiencing ongoing winter blasts.&nbsp;</p> <p>This year has been the year of gardening, at least beginning August when my irises arrived. Then came September and bulbs. Instead of worrying what to wear out to dinner or to class (only Zoom now) I realized I needed some warm and cozy items&nbsp;from LL Bean and Land’s End for puttering in the yard and for windy walks up and down our hills. </p> <p>I also needed some long sleeve tops and shirt jackets for warmer weather, but only relatively warmer.&nbsp;Between Mohs surgery, sprained ankle, and at last some rain, I haven’t been able to take regular walks until recently. After my color experiments of last year, I realize I need a few neutrals.&nbsp;</p> <p>The items below are just out of the shipping bags, and after walks so my hair is at best, scraggly. I haven't decided yet whether or not I'll try steaming or actually pull out the ironing board. All were on sale.</p> <p>#1-2 Madewell Delancey top, loose fitting and with raglan sleeves, which I didn't catch onto before I ordered. Treasure &amp; Bond Ombre top showing my winter waistline. I'm working on it.&nbsp;</p> <p>#3 Vince tee. I don't remember buying anything from Vince before, although I always look and touch the soft items in the store. This is a lightweight and incredibly soft ls cotton pima/modal tee on sale, and even better with a Nordstrom note. I debated between an L and M and went with M. Sleeve seams are perfect and a bit long. A bit snug in the middle, but see #2. I won't wear this around the cats, but I love the subtle plaid which doesn't show even lightened. </p> <p># 4-5 LL Bean Berry wide wale corduroy and denim blue/white stripe shirts. Size M, a bit big, but can wear over a ls top for cooler spring days to work outdoors. Or take a walk.</p> <p>#6-8 some photos Mr. Maven took before sunrise on Feb 11 after some rain. Our south patio. And the palm trees we just had pruned.&nbsp;Queen palms so pretty and feathery when small, so expensive and messy now. </p> <p>#9 onward. Bulbs planted last fall. Daffodils in pot and tulips beginning to bloom. One&nbsp;anemone&nbsp;and some small ranunculus were quickly nibbled by one of our resident bunnies so had to move back to patio.&nbsp;</p> <p>Flags in background show daffodil sprouts in ground. Rabbits and squirrels don't eat them, so we planted some in front as well. I accidentally ordered 5 dozen instead of 1 dozen.&nbsp;</p> <p>And a morning hello from Sharkie and Jett.&nbsp; </p>
