I just went and measured, and the rise in front is 9". They come up about an inch below my navel. There is no coin slot action going on in the backside! Looks like a peplum dress that way. Both pieces are ponte in back, which is not only nice for comfort sake, but also gives a nice surprise when the front is revealed.
