The oxfords appear to be polarizing. Part of me wishes I'd bought them in cognac like everything else I own, but it's nice to have something different in my closet. I kind of like the clunky, vintage look of the dark, masculine shoes, but I get that it's not for everyone. I suspect my monk-strap heels (see find) might work in a similar manner, but be a bit more feminine. At 4" though, they're a lot less practical.<br /><b><br />Lisa, Janet, </b>and<b> kkards,&nbsp;</b>You all are so funny with the bookshelves. I'm glad you like them, though. That room is my library/studio, so it's where I spend most of my time during the working day.</p> <p><b>Runs With Scissors</b>, I think you might be a bit hard on yourself with the oxfords. I wear a size 10, so my feet aren't that much smaller than yours!</p> <p><b>La Pedestrienne</b> and <b>Brooklyn</b>, the sandals are butter-soft and seem to be well-made, so I definitely recommend. Just don't expect any arch support. The fall/summer outfits are super. The spring version feels a little heavy with the dark high-vamp footwear but to be fair I tend to avoid that <i>for myself</i> so it kind of always looks a little heavy to me. They're a really nice cognac color in RL, only a smidge lighter than my tall boots. AE messed up and actually sent me them in black as well as the cognac, and the cognac won hands-down.
