You could also wear the floral with a skirt (if you have one that you like). I agree that the sweater in 2 is less contemporary than the look you are aiming towards. On the other hand, you probably don't want to spend a lot of money yet until you've reached your goal. Every other top in this brand was too long except this one! However since I love the colours, the print and the jersey like fabrication I decided to go with it, it does mean I will always wear black bottoms with it.</p> <p>Isis, thanks for the compliment on the hair. I have worn it super short for years, but some friends have been gently encouraging me to grow it a bit longer for a while. It looks a bit on the short side, especially for leggings but I think the length is OK for looser fitting pants you have on in the picture.<br />I like the floaty grey printed top too and actually I like it unpinned but would pair it with slimmer bottoms: have you tried it with the leggings? It may work pretty well with them.<br />The red cardigan is a beautiful color but I am afraid it looks a bit dated.
