They used dark gold a lot in the 1970s and 1980s. Good quality, (usually) inexpensive and interesting. Styles are generally on the chunky side because that was the fashion. I just got a dark gold book chain style necklace in a hammered style which (according to seller) was made in the 1970s in Czechoslovakia. Gorgeous and less than $50. Thanks for the kind words. I think I was drawn to the eyelet jacket because it has ragged, fraying edges. I really like the tough/rough combined with pretty. I could try a lighter colored strap on the bag, in fact i collected a find for a white one at Amazon. I bought a patterned strap with the bag (see find below) that didn't work with this outfit, and I just haven't bothered to get a lighter solid one. I think this lighter gold is my version of white-shoes-bags-for-summer so I'm going to wait and see how much I want to wear the gold complement in fall before I look for more bag straps. </p> <p><b>Slim cat</b>, thanks! Wasn't sure the nail colors would come out in the photo. I did gold toes this time but i want dark red next. I've done a dark green and light blue this summer. Actually the  consignment shop is full of high end designer stuff ... bags from prada, chanel, gucci, and the like ... and similar clothes although some not so high end. Those style bags don't really interest me except as wonderful things to see and most of the clothes are too fancy for me or would not fit, but I love stopping in and never say never. A friend of mine got both of her MOB/MOG dresses there and they were both stunners. YAY!!&nbsp;</p> <p>Gold watch, bracelet, earrings, and diamond studs.&nbsp; The only jewelry I'm wearing that is not gold is my black fitbit&nbsp; &nbsp;</p> <p>The pants and tee are among the oldest summer items in my wardrobe.
