Ya that's a shame. It might also be one of those things that doesn't seem as bad to the other people who are looking at you, I hope.
Do you have a picture of this that you want to post?

Yeah I think that's the reason. It makes me really sad because otherwise the fit of both jackets is perfect. I guess it's an unalterable flaw...

Oh too bad it is pouching like that even though it is snug. Do you feel comfortable zipping open from the bottom when you sit to get rid of the pouch?
It's my guess that since the zipper is hard and stiff it can't bend and lay as nicely as the fabric of the garment so it just pouches out. Is that what you are describing?

The leather jacket DOES have a double zipper though, and it still does the same thing. Both of them also fit very closely to my body; so it's just because the zipper is too stiff or something?

It seems very common and that is why Angie like the puffers that zip down from the top and also up from the bottom. The zipper is stiff and bulky and doesn't co operate with the fabric of the jacket. The same thing will happen on pants or a skirt if they are not tight on the body.

I have a pair of really smart zip-up jackets that love to death; one is a sort of heavy mesh sport jacket that hits me at low hip, and the other is a grey leather jacket that hits at high hip. Both of the zippers bulge outwards when I sit down.

Why is that? Is it the fabric or the length of the zipper? Is there any way to fix it?
