Definitely Spring Fever. I love that color.
You and I have similar coloring, and a friend once told me she was jealous because I was "one of the few who can really wear that color".

What suz said. Looks good with your reddish hair tone. Color is supposed to be fun and not rigid! If this particular scarf is a good deal for you- and a solid is very versatile of course- then add it in. Or look for this color mixed with some.of your other best colors. Did you see cocolion's recent WIW? Not quite the same issue but a good example.of.adding a fresh zingy color to more neutral & dark colors.

I have a loose crochet scarf in a colour very similar to this. Its not a colour I would have thought I'd have been attracted to but I saw it while walking through M&S about 5 years ago and couldn't leave the shop without it. I couldn't explain what it was that I liked about the colour, I still can't but I just know I love it. Sometimes there's no rhyme or reason for these things. I vote get it and enjoy x

I would call is lime green (although a real lime is not that color - maybe the juice is?) It's a hopeful spring color. Like the first buds of spring, the moss. My mother went through a very yellow and green period (late 70's to early 80's) in which our entire house became decorated in those colors so I now have a bit of an aversion to it in my wardrobe, but I admire it and love it with blues.

I am in love with that color too! Chartruese seems the best name.

As much as I love it, in the photo, it seems to have made you seem yellow. But that could be the light also. I would try wearing the color in a bag or a belt since my face could not handle that color either. I wear the same types of colors you do, bold clear true blue spectrum shades.

It is so hard when we fall for colors that are outside our spectrum. I had that problem with orange last year and finally got a pumpkin color or two that I can wear even though it is not the true sour orange that was so popular. I am happy with both pieces now, although I felt a bit off trend when I got them. A year later, no one is wearing orange anyway so might picks are wiser for suiting me.

Perhaps you could rather find a scarf that is mostly in your colors with an edge or pattern in the chartruese. Now that i think about it I have seen a scarf or two like that. I can go back and take a photo and see if you would want one sent to you! Just PM me, since I am not always smart enough to come back and read the post again.

Wearing this color in something like a scarf or a base layer top with a jacket adds such a wonderful, fresh energy to a wardrobe of mostly cool colors. I think your skin tone can wear this --- agreeing with Suz that its not your best color family, but it works for you. I'm a jewel tone girl too --- but a girl can't spend her entire life in regal colors like sapphire and purple! Sometimes a little playfulness is in order! This will play so nicely with other things in your closet.

Apple or lime green. Chartreuse is dirtier.

If you wear it WITH teals, whites, reds and purples, it's going to work despite its yellow undertones.

Maybe it picks up the green of your eyes. My DS who has green eyes looks wonderful in this color. It will look great with teal, cobalt and navy and probably other colors you wear. I scarf seems an ideal way to try it out without much cost or closet space.

I think its chartreuse. This is one of my all time favorite colors because it looks so crisp and fresh with navy & white. I can't wear it close to my face (yellow undertones). But it picks up the rosy pink in your cheeks and is EXTREMELY flattering on you. I say go all out get plenty of tops in chartreuse because it's your color.

I call this chartreuse or spring green, because the first leaves look like that when the sun hits them. https://www.google.ca/search?q.....38;bih=702

I think it is not your "best" colour, perhaps....but it is not a "bad" colour on you, either, because your skin is so lovely and pure that it can take almost anything! This is the perfect way to indulge your love for the colour -- if you wear it with others that are flattering, it will still look great on you.

Hmmmm . . . O - I don't know! On my monitor this shade of green has a yellow cast to it - but, imo, it doesn't look bad on you. If IRL, it has more of a blue undertone, I'd go for it! It would look great with your teals and neutrals!

Yes, Mochi! I was thinking chartreuse. I am obsessed with a softened version of that which is referred to as citron (and am also obsessed with mint). That colour is calming and energizing at the same time, as caro pointed out, it is a calming warm green. Looks good on you for sure.

I also wear reds and purples but only the cool reds. My BFF has a slight olive tone and similar coloring to me. She is absolutely drawn to the color you have in the pic but can't wear it.

I may have a poison eye but I think it is not nearly as flattering on you as your deep jewel tones. I would compare this pic to the gorgeous deep pink with the blue scarf you posted the other day.

My normal colors are similar to yours, and I have a fascination with that color too! And it goes back at least to my junior high days. I never thought that color fit with me, so I spent most of 40 years avoiding it, punctuated by brief moments when I remembered I loved it. I'm trying to stop fighting it now! It's not on the charts for a "Winter" but it's just so amazing!

Is that not called chartreuse?

It's a lovely color of spring. It's the color of ferns and new greenery. It's soft and although I usually don't go for colors that have that yellowy cast to them, I find this very appealing. And I don't think your particular example is neon at all. (Not that neon is bad.) I think you would look great in this, using it as an accent or you could even experiment with it in greater proportions.

Green imo is a very calming colour - a balance of warm & cool, it's also the colour of spring & renewal so maybe that's why you are drawn to it.

First, you look lovely in that close-up and, secondly, your beautiful woodland photo may have a partial answer to your question. I notice that lush light green moss sprouting up in the photo and perhaps you're drawn to these spring colors as they begin to emerge around your environment.

Colors are tough for me, too, and last year I was inexplicably in love with all shades of yellow, some of which became a huge mistake. I have a Gap jacket in yellow, which seems to work best for my color, but there are other shades that simply don't work.

I hope our color specialists stop in here and give us some direction.

Jayne made a great point the other day about not being able to think about Spring wardrobe while it's still cold outside. I completely agree. This temperature-driven hibernation in winter-related-styling had cost me gorgeous red mac coat, but that's maybe a story for another thread.

Anyway, it's getting noticeably warmer in my neck of woods and I find myself thinking about this scarf. Its green color (what do you call this shade?) is very appealing. It's fresh, zingy and fun. I first fell in love with the color when I saw lovely messenger bag in this shade, but since I'm happiest with least number of bags possible, I did not buy it as my current one is still going strong. But I had the top in similar color in past, which I adored.

Then the other day I saw this scarf at the second hand shop and I just had to walk in and check it against my face.

Here is where I need your help:
You may have noticed I stay mostly with my reds, purples, teals and neutrals. Deep, saturated colors which work with my pale skin, greenish eyes and dark hair with hints of auburn.
I am not good with reading colors and branching into unknown territories color-wise, but I do know I have to stay away from yellow, unless worn very far from my face - I look very bad in yellowish anything.

So, back to the siren call of the green in question. It's not a case of even wanting to have something in this color, just understanding why - out of all colors which are not my typical ones - this one speaks to me.

If you don't feel like elaborating, you can use yay/nay.
Is this good color for me?

If you do feel like elaborating, then:
If YAY, why?
If NAY, why?

Thank you.

Bonus photo: This morning in my neck of wood. Spring is definitely here.
