Polyester in the fabric picks up lint in the wash. Look at fabric content.

The black Paige Hoxton skinnies from a couple of years ago are also a good non-linty, soft fabric. Quite stretchy. So perhaps it’s worth checking out Paige too.

No specific black jeans recs-but woven fabrics attract less lint-fur than knits as a rule! A bit of sheen helps too-like coated denim-though not so much available now.

I have two pairs of black jeans from Everlane. The darker "stay black" ones were lint magnets at first, but after dozens of washes they seem to be less so (they've also faded a little, despite Everlane's claims, but that doesn't bother me). The "washed black" doesn't pick up lint at all; the finish is soft and smooth -- great denim.

April, sorry to hear that you have had this issue. Lint on black is frustrating.
Mother denim do black jeans, the colour is called "not guilty". A true denim and not a lint magnet. I have had my jeans for 18 months and never noticed any lint issues and given I live with two Westies, that is high praise indeed.

Anthro had a good pair of high-waisted black flares (I have them) in their Pilcro brand. Not sure if they still are offering them, but it’s worth taking a look.

I have passed along two pairs of recently purchased black jeans from NYDJ because they picked up every bit of lint and fuzz.

Looking for a bootcut and or a straight leg, higher in the rise, full length, in a black that doesn't attract excessive lint.

To be fair, the NYDJ fabric was more of a pure black brushed cotton than a true denim, so I probably should have known it would be a lint magnet.
