After dipping a toe in the style with a discounted pair of Adidas from the Rack a couple of years ago, I've found them very useful and comfortable, and my eye has adjusted to the look on myself, although I do feel better if I have some white elsewhere in the outfit to bookend the sneakers. </p> <p>I have tried a few pairs recently. The Vejas I ordered ended up being cream, not white, so they went back immediately. Not what I was after. I also tried the Rag &amp; Bone retro sneakers (second find) but did not like the very tan sole for my purposes. The comfort also wasn't quite there -- they felt a bit too loose on the foot. I also tried the McQueen sneakers (Find 3) but OMG they were so uncomfortable! </p> <p>So far, I most like the pair from Nerogiardini (first Find), a brand I'd never really seen before. I also like that they are only moderately expensive, not excessively so -- certainly much less than the McQueens or even the Rag &amp; Bone pairs. They're more platform than retro, but on my feet they seem to have the right balance of presence -- not too chunky and not too streamlined, so they stand up to being paired with everything from shorts to full-length flares. Worth noting is that they did <b>not</b> come with laces emblazoned with the logo -- not being much of a fan of obvious logos, I like these logo-less laces much better! The silver accents are subtle but add a little distinctive touch, which I like. </p> <p>I may still keep an eye out for other options, but in trying on the Nerogiardini shoes around the house, I almost walked outside forgetting I had them on, which is a really good sign of comfort. It's also a little unusual for a more platform-ish style to have good flexibility right out of the box -- a lot of them are too stiff. So far, so good!  </p>
