No one probably noticed but me, but I am pretty anal : )</p> <p>@aida--Your point is exactly what I'm honing in on--even though I've tried these with white shorts and skirts, because of the ankle strap and my less than slender ankles, I prefer to cover the ankle strap with pants. I only own two pairs of white pants, so the sandals would be limited to working with 2 bottoms in my closet.</p> <p>@queenmum-Orange and red are my two possible choices. I just have to see if the shoemaker is confident that he can dye this type of leather. In the previous post @keepthekey advised white leather may have to be stripped because of the method used to finish the leather. Though I want (and actually need) a red pair of sandals, if the shoemaker says dyeing is risky, I would rather keep the pair white and wear them infrequently rather than ruin them.</p> <p>Update: shoemaker would not take on the dye job because he could not guarantee the flowers were leather. Anyone had luck self dyeing with Tarrago shoe dye? If it were me, I'd dye them (I'm still voting orange if I could dye them for half the price of buying a new pair of shoes.
