My mother's family lives in the area. There are several very upscale resorts in CS and then a lot of more "mountain-y" places. White jeans aren't out of place as a rule, but if you are staying at a more mountain local I want to warn you that the decomposed granite in the soil from Pikes Peak means the dirt is red--- red enough to stain white sneakers if they get muddy or saturated with dust and then damp.
