It feels modern, everything in photo 2 is spot on - the jeans, the top, the proportions. Photo 3 shows how beautifully you play with the neutrals. I love the bag, perfect illustration of Angie’s blog post and something I personally want to focus on more in terms of using the bag as the reflection of my own style, so it’s of extra interest to me to see a great example.</p> <p></p> <p>The specs are great. And <b>Suz</b>, thanx for the great advices on styling them, I agree with all you said:-).</p> <p>Ideally I would have liked to have your opinions before deciding on the frames, but the whole (3 week long) procedure (of trying different salons, and styles) was&nbsp; draining&nbsp;my daily&nbsp;energy and really &nbsp;EXHAUSTED me.</p> <p>Didn't have the time to describe them in detail, yesterday, so I will do this now, if interrested:-).</p> <p>The&nbsp;main color(on front)&nbsp;is a very dark greyish brown&nbsp;(not black!-but this wasn't obvious at the first sight just when comparing them with true blacks). The inner&nbsp;part &nbsp;is&nbsp;all nude but it has a bright white streak all over between the two main colors, and the inner bridge&nbsp;&nbsp;is transparent.</p> <p>They are a bit tricky with those splashes of &nbsp;turquoise&nbsp;(on the front sides), brown (on the temples)&nbsp;AND some oriental pattern, antique (brushed) golden hardware on temples and at their very edges. </p> <p>BUT it seems all these details were done to complement my&nbsp; light complexion as&nbsp;please believe my word:&nbsp;an all black, or all white frame (I ever lusted for)&nbsp;never looked&nbsp;good on me as they&nbsp;were always too harsh on my face. </p> <p>Also the width of the frame seems ideal now-as&nbsp;the thicker ones would command my face, but&nbsp; the non existent ones (like the titan, frameless Sillouettes I wore in the past) were a bit aging and lack of any&nbsp;character-which I wanted to avoid.</p> <p>My last specs were a lovely&nbsp;green Esprit (but delicate half frame in metal) and still love them as they blend better in my face compared to the&nbsp;actual ones, but I needed new prescription and&nbsp; Hubby insisted to try new frames, too. (He's a native specs wearer and&nbsp;always has strong opinions on frames, so I had to&nbsp;trust his experience). Just stunning.&nbsp;</p> <p>In terms of styling, when I'm wearing my specs (especially my black white-lined ones) I find it easier to wear black booties (yay for yours!), black or darker tops and toppers, or a pattern that includes black or a dark colour. Basically, I use my specs to "bookend" dark elements of my outfit, and find they give more visual weight to my upper half. So maybe this will help you a bit in styling. Will have to update&nbsp; this with a more structured version asap-as now I feel&nbsp;it is&nbsp; one of the &nbsp;the weak chain in my wardrobe.</p> <p>Bonus&nbsp; picties about&nbsp; my new&nbsp;specs. Never had dark geeky&nbsp;frames, so had to trust the optician and my Hubs who couldn't &nbsp;stop raving about when I tried them on (after weekly long trying on &nbsp;tons of other frames)-so,&nbsp;I had to have them- but am still learning to style my outfits around them.&nbsp;</p> <p>Also, the&nbsp;&nbsp;mixmedia blazer&nbsp;&nbsp;has enough detail on the neckline&nbsp;so&nbsp;I kept it simple, and went without&nbsp; my usual silver chocker(and triangle pendant) but still wore my white watch, black leather wrist band(on the right hand)&nbsp;and pearl studs.&nbsp;</p> <p>All in all, I&nbsp;feel like I could have linked the thread to Angie's blog post from today, but I was a bit sheepish to do it:-).</p> <p>Any&nbsp;opinions, comments or feedbacks are welcome!
