I think those wrinkles are totally normal and acceptable on slim cut jeans. You probably just noticed them more since they are white. I'll add my approval to the list!

Wow, thanks everyone! Seems like they're a keeper, unanimously One more thing to check off my list. I'm going to try to get some wear out of them while it's still hot here in California.

shana -- these are unfortunately not a higher rise jean; the rise is 8". My ideal rise is around 9" or 9.5". But out of the 10+ pairs of white pants I've tried on, these fit the best (except for the lower rise). So I can live with that, since I don't typically wear any tops that cling to my midriff. And the jeans don't seem to slip down, hallelujah!

As far as premium bargains -- Nordstrom has several styles of premium white denim for 33%-70% off. I tried on a pair of CJ Faith ones. Those were interesting -- nice high rise, fit well in the stomach area, but were baggy in the butt and really loose in the thighs. And I had ordered a size down. I think they're designed for curvy women with a smallish waist, so if you fit this mold, they might work for you. I also like the CoH Huttons, but the pair I ordered from ShopBop were what I considered to be defective (the fly was funky and there was even a black thread woven into the fabric on the leg!), and they didn't have any left in my size. Maybe next year I'll look for some white bootcuts.

taylor -- thanks! My photo is of my dearly departed kitty, who passed away 5 years ago. His sister, who is going to live forever (she's 19), looks just like your kitty but with darker eyes! I need to get a photo of her

I too made the white jeans "jump" a couple months ago and just got up the nerve to finally wear them today (So Cal heat wave). I really, really loved them and they totally stretched out in the thigh area as the day progressed so I was glad I'd opted for the smaller size. I think those look like they fit you great! My Tide-To- Go pen did come in handy though - hard to keep those suckers spotless despite being at work away from my 2 messy little boys!

Cathy, with white pants, i personally think wrinkles are a good thing. skin hugging white denim is not something i prefer, especially as you said, that these would loosen up a bit as you wear them. that said, i don't think these wrinkle too much and i don't think they're too long. i do think you look fantastic in them! i say keep 'em!

Cciele, I don't think they are too tight - I think the wrinkles will go away after you wash and wear them a couple times.

I LOVE them with the tunic! Yay!

The scrunch looks slightly much to my eyes, but I'm still getting used to the scrunched look so I'm not the expert.

Hmmm, I think they look great - not sure what to say about the wrinkles. I guess my clothes never fit perfectly so I am used to wrinkles here and there. I am looking to replace my white bootcuts (mine were a cheap pair of ON ones). Considering how much I wore them, I want to replace with a higher end version. Are these a higher rise? Please share any bargain finds you encounter!!!

I think those jeans look good--they look really cute with the tunic!
I'm not sure I really like white jeans myself. I bought a pair from BR this summer, but only wore them twice. I am a SAHM with twin toddlers, so I'm *scared* of wearing white anything...

So I've tried on many, many pairs of white jeans and have generally disliked how I look in them. I feel like white is more unforgiving than dark denim.

Anyhow, here's a pair of skinny CoH white jeans. They feel a little snug but comfortable, and will probably stretch out a bit as I wear them more. But are they too tight? I'm not sure about the wrinkles in certain areas, and whether those are more noticeable since the pants are white. Also, I assume this amount of scrunch is a bit much, yes?

http://i617.photobucket.com/al.....C_2163.jpg
http://i617.photobucket.com/al.....C_2164.jpg
http://i617.photobucket.com/al.....C_2169.jpg
(dunno how many of the wrinkles in the rear view is from my twisting pose)

Here's a shot with a long top (the boho tank from my earlier thread):
http://i617.photobucket.com/al.....2170-1.jpg

which looks ok since the top covers the wrinkly areas. But I'd like to wear the pants with shorter tops sometimes.

Help!
