Wonderful - I know you like that brand; I am also partial to it. Tahari (not Elie Tahari, just Tahari) slacks have always been one of the most flattering fits. Post pics!!! Tanya, I tried the Joe's Muse's last year, but sent them back. I think they are better designed for pear shapes? While they fit okay in the hips and waist, the pockets were much too large and there was something about the cut that made my butt look dumpy. Tanya, I took your advice and went ahead and ordered them. They were additionally marked down 20%--so they were way under my budget. And I found a free shipping code--so I figured all I have to lose is return shipping if they don't fit. I've always been partial to Elie Tahari, so I hated to let it go. I'll keep the COH and Joes in mind if these don't work out. And of course post photos when they arrive. ( the link doesn't work). I think that the polyurthane is some version of spandex, it gives them some stretchiness. I'd certainly give them a try, considering that they are at clearance, they are really good deal. You can always return them if they don't work, and you'll also know if you like white straight legged jeans on yourself or not. If it turns out that you'd prefer boocuts, Shiny makes a great suggestion of COH Amber. I seem to recall Angie blogging about this - perhaps try a site search? To my recollection, I think she advised to choose white jeans that fit a little looser and more forgiving; so I suspect your instinct to go with bootcuts instead of straight legs is a wise idea. Have you tried the COH Amber jeans yet? After much trying on of various other brands in white, I ended duplicating my COH Ambers in white. They are bootcuts. I do not remember if I sized up; they are in storage so I couldn't tell you. Although I only got to wear them a few times last year, I love them and plan to wear them more frequently this year! Another brand you might like is Ralph Lauren. I had a favorite pair of RL white jeans, that I found at TJ Maxx (or is it Marshall's? one of those!). But then I lost weight and sized myself out of that brand. I still hold on to them in case I regain. They have stretch, so they are uber-comfy, but not too stretchy - don't bag out like Soho's tend to do. Nice material; launder well. They were bootcuts, very classic, but fairly slim-fitting. And, they are higher-rise, for those who like high rise!
