I have a hard time with jeans, period. My only pair of white jeans, which I really appreciate, are Levi's Demi Curve Classic Rise, straight leg. The legs are narrow, but not skinny, and the rise is medium, so no muffin top. I bought them two years ago, but lately I added a dark wash version in the same cut to my collection, and the style is still great for me.

Loft has some right now that look nice. I haven't pulled out my current pairs as they're stored with the summer clothes - although the way the weather's been warming up here I should get to it soon! I think I've got a pair of skinnies from BR, a trouser cut pair from Eddie Bauer, and I believe a pair of cropped from Kut from the Kloth. Kut, by the way, always seems to have nice thick white denim, worth a try if what you've had problems with is thin see through jeans.

I recently bought a Loft ankle length semi-high rise skinny, after looking all last summer for one that I thought actually looked good on me. I'd tried on Jones NY, Lucky, Micheal Kors, Paige, J Brand, Kut from the Kloth, Old Navy, Gap, American Eagle and on and on...

The second closest contenders were Jones NY, but they were stiffer and more roomy at the ankle and tighter at the waist, and the Loft ones sized down fit just right -- opaque enough that I can tuck in a black shirt with no problem, and they seem to be holding their shape well so far.

ETA: there is also a curvy cut Loft white skinny, which is cut quite differently, but seems to be a similar fabric (just as opaque, and stretchy)

It looks like quite a variety of cuts are being worn this year. I like that we have variety.

Carla and Lisa, I have been seeing quite a few pics of higher rise pants/jeans with loose fitting tops tucked in. It is a look I haven't seen much of in decades. I seem to recall really liking that silhouette when it was in the last time. things change with time though...

I've been on a hunt for quite a while. Last year I tried Hudson white jeans - liked them a lot but never found them at the price I was ready to pay.
This year so far I tried Kut Diana cords in ivory - ended up returning (size 2 was too big and size 0 in ivory was not available).
Bought (and decided to keep) JCrew factory skinny ankle jeans (cannot put them in finds for some reason though).

I bought white Jag jeans a few years ago, and the fabric was super, super thick. One pair was pull-on, and since it gaped a bit at the waistline, I had them taken in a bit. Oops! The pull-on option is not the best for hourglass or pear shapes. The wiggling I have to do to get these babies on reminds me of when I used to watch my mom pull on her girdle.

Glad you posted this , Cheryle. I have had zero luck with white jeans, period. That hasn't stopped me from buying about 10 pair over the past 5 years, but the only ones I like are from NYDJ - skinnies with a black ankle zip . As Carla says, the downside is that semi tucking of any kind is a no-go because of the higher rise. Why are white jeans so hard ? I think white pants in general maybe just aren't as flattering . Or it's me

I have two pairs of white jeans: one is ankle-length fitted skinny, the other is straight leg that fits like slim BF. My skinnies are low rise because that's my rise preference, the straights are mid-rise to get the slouchy crotch thing. I'd love to add a third pair of bagger BF jeans in white, since that pair gets the most wear and bottlenecks a bit

I got a pair of white straight leg jeans from The Bay last year. They were high rise with a lot of stretch but the fabric was substantial. In case, the ON pairs don't work, you should try the Bay too.

I have a sizeable collection of white jeans (flares, straights, skinnies) - mostly BR and GAP and crops from Joe Fresh. Joe Fresh has an ultra skinny ( in name only) mid rise white jean that I fell in love with - but unfortunately, everyone else seems to have caught the bug as well and my size is sold out :-( Good luck with your search!

Mine are curvy skinny from Bluenotes, midrise. There were only two styles in the store, the ones I bought and a pair that had lots of rips. Jeans are the one item I won't order online, so in this case my options were limited to the only store within an hour that had them.

This time last year I got a pair of white jeans from Mark's Work Warehouse - Denver Hayes line. They are the Hanna cut, straight leg. After almost a year of searching, these jeans met my criteria of being opaque enough not to show undies, and long enough inseam (a 34). I really could do with a longer inseam, but that was near impossible where I lived.

As luck would have it, I got the jeans at the end of winter at a deep discount. They have more than earned their keep. Fit-wise, they are loose in a boyfriend way, with a straight leg. They are high cotton content and don't stretch or bag out with wear. I've spilled wine and spaghetti sauce on them, and they come clean and none the worse for a hot water wash with a little bleach!

My only complaint would be that the Hanna cut has a high rise. Great for my tummy, but you loose some styling options since it doesn't work well with tucks and semi-tucks.

That said, there is a Hanna white baby boot cut In white that I aim to try, since I still haven't found a better white pant made by anyone else!

Hello ladies,
Until the last few years, I always had a pair of white jeans in my wardrobe. I think I looked a few years ago and wasn't successful so I gave up. I decided to give it another try this year. I have really good luck with the ON skinny sweetheart (relaxed skinny/narrow straight) so ordered them online in two sizes as there were none in the stores to try. They have more stretch than the blue denim and are at least an inch higher in the rise but the fabric seems to be thick enough for white jeans.

I am curious about the shape/fit/cut others are looking for or have bought for white jeans this year.

Care to share what you chose and why?
