I don't need hubs to love everything I own (UWP sweater stayed, for example), but for a pretty pricey boot, it needs to be more versatile. </p> <p>Hubs actually said he does not mind the color, print, or calf hair. He does not like the shape of them from the side, thinks the hidden wedge is not so hidden and, as you all have said, that they shorten my legs. </p> <p>Hubs also asked a really good question, which was what *I* like about them. I am really drawn to the calf hair, and I like that the color is lighter and more spring-like. Suddenly a conservative outfit looks unexpected and cool with those white booties.</p> <p>When worn with skirts/dresses, I keep thinking go-go boots (that could be a product of my age). And go-go boots were more mid-calf than ankle boots. So something about the height of the boots feels off when worn with dresses. </p>
