Oh, then I read your request on further opinions for nr 6.
I too have one similar drapey cardi, but a tad shorter, in a plain colour(charcoal grey), and chunkyer yarn, that keeps it's A line shape better (almost like a sleek long boyfriend cardi/blazer). I struggled to find an item of this sort for me size 12, and it was very carefully chosen and considerred before purchasing.
It has only a few drapes nearby the hem (not on the torso)- this compliments my shape, without overhelming it!
I really tried so hard to put on with skinny jeans, but the look did nothing to me.
So, I now wear it exclusively with my long equestrian dark boots and same colourred opaques, light grey knee length pencil denim skirt and strechy, form fitted dark tops underneath(colour column, with almost no contrast(except the skirt) but rich textures) and this is (in my case) what helped the maximum to gave a hint of a sleek silloute, at least from underneath.

I like the best the navy top with the white bottoms (nr 2). You have a great shape (seen in nr 5:-)) why covering it in those big drapes(nr.6)? Last look is pretty sophisticated, and suit you really well!
Hope this may help deciding, but count other's oppinions, too!

2 is my favorite, along with all the thrifted items. Maybe you can match the length of the top you made to #2? For the ruffled vest, I think it'd look great with a tunic and skinnies. Very pretty! Perhaps with the ponte pants from 5? Those are great!

Hi, Laura - I absolutely know what you mean about pictures, too.

I echo others that the bottoms look great. I really love that top you made, and think it will also work as a layering piece for you in cooler weather. #2 is also lovely on you. I think you could do better than the Ts (though I like the first, aqua knit top on you a lot and depending on price that might be well worth hanging onto for next year.) I would hang onto the short thrifted sweater; I think you will be able to do something with that. I am not sure about the plaid top, but layered and worn open with sleeves pushed up, it might be great for weekends.

Love the little vest but think it needs different styling, as others have said. I'd try it as Claire suggested and maybe bring it with you shopping to find the right "under" layer.

As for the sweater, I WANT to love it, but I think it is too long/big/voluminous. I can definitely see its appeal. I wonder what it would be like belted? Or I wonder if you would consider making it a little bit shorter? That might be enough to make the proportions work.

Thanks for the great feedback, ladies, it's very helpful. Yes, the pink tank I made does have an asymmetric hem - somehow I managed to hide it with my hand when I was taking the picture! I will have to photograph it again.

Right now I am thinking that the first couple things are going to go back - now that the first infatuation has faded, really I should be spending $ on fall stuff rather than summer things I can wear for a week or two more and then have to pack away for a year. Same with the AT tops; they feel great but they look horrible and that's the way it is.

I would love some more feedback on the stripey drape sweater - it feels lovely and I was thinking of it as a versatile layering piece, but if it looks too voluminous I need to have discipline and take it back.

IKWYM too! I like the outfit you wore today, the white jeans look summery with the aqua top, but in the other pics, they look like they will work for fall because you paired them with darker colors.

Tops 2 and 3 would look good with dark skinnies or the black ponte knit pants, too. I really like the one you made. Is the hemiline asymetrical, or is that just the camera angle? A wide stretchy belt might be fun if you have one to play around with.

I like the sweater, and would have been drawn to its coziness, but it is a bit bulky and long.

And, no surprise, I like the thrift store finds the best! The Levis look great, I like the shorter sweater in 7 (yes you could wear it with a skirt, or just layer a longer black tank underneath. I'm picturing a long pendant necklace, too!

8 could work unbuttoned with the sleeves scrunched or rolled up a notch. I love the ruffled vest, though not with that sporty v-neck T. It might look cute with the ponte knit pants, booties or flat riding boots and a long sleeved blouse. What blouse, I'm not sure.....but you could take the vest shopping next time and see what works! A longer solid tunic perhaps.

Great haul. Thanks for all the pictures! PS I really like you in sleeveless tops; you have great arms!

I'm not loving the top in #1 on you for some reason, but you might get different opinons on that. All of the bottoms seem to work well to me. I really like #2 and #3, but think the tops in #4 and #5 are too small/not the right shape for you. Not crazy about the sweater #6 personally, but get more opinions on that one! Really like the color of #7 - is it tucked in or just short? I think you can do better than #8 for the weekends and I would perhaps try the vest in #9 with a white button down and your new black ponte skinnies and heels (if you wear them)

IKWYM--taking photos is a huge reality check for me too. I don't cut the tags anymore until I've snapped a photo. #2 and 6 are my faves. I like that dropped shoulder sleeve and open neckline on you--I see it with a long pendant necklace. The sweater looks cozy and light and you have the height to carry it off. I like the aqua stripe top and the red tank for casual summer days. I could see either paired with clams as well. I think 7 looks too short for pants but would probably look great with a denim skirt. I also really like 8--it looks very Aida. Nice haul!

ETA: The bottoms look good--what I can see of them. They come across pretty dark.

Why is it that I feel great in something and then take pics of it and my opinion nosedives? Ugh. Anyway, I will be brave and post them anyway. Took an unplanned trip to the mall yesterday and bought several things in the fall sales. Also took the chance to get pictures of my recent thrifting purchases.

1 - I had this outfit on today but then wasn't sure, so I haven't taken the tags off. Got the top and the jeans from BR on sale
2 - also got this blue trapeze-y sweater; could wear it with denim or black but the white seemed interesting - too weirdly crossing seasons?
3 - while I was at it I took a picture of this knit top which I just made, I think the shape is surprisingly flattering but maybe a touch longer?
4 - 10 buck knit top from AT with newly thrifted jeans from Torrid
5 - another knit top with black ponte skinnies from Chico's. Tops are comfy but man, they're showing every roll in the pics
6 - stripey draped sweater from AT - too like wearing a blanket?
7 - and now shifting to the entirely thrifted portion of our presentation, blue sweater and Levi's
8 - plaid tunic; wait, hear me out, I'll probably wear it open over a t for the weekends
9 - ruffled vest originally from Chico's, still trying to figure out how to style this one
