I like #1. It is more streamlined and the ruffle is so subtle that it is barely a ruffle. It is also a good length.

Hi Kappy, can I say how nice your hair looks from every angle? And compliments to the person (DH?) who takes your excellent photos.
Just on design alone, (forgetting fit for a moment) I love the ruffle #1 and the tie-one #4 (minus the ties!) I’m biased against the pointy drapes on #2#3 (and #4) as my personal preference is to avoid low-hanging tasselly things that can swing as I walk, as I don’t particularly want to draw attention to my crotch area! (Shorter drapes IMO would be fine).
I notice that there is a typical pear-shape fit issue with 2 of these cardies, (I have a similar problem) to do with one’s hips being wider than one’s shoulders – tops and cardies are tricky to buy, because if you get them to fit at the hips, then they are falling off and baggy at the shoulder seam and armholes. One of the things that makes the cardy Angie favoured, (which IMO looks the best from the back, and has the nicest sleeve), different from the others is that it is a tunic cut; it does not have a set-in sleeve, so you don’t have this problem with this cardy. It might be worth targeting cardis in future that have the tunic cut i.e no armhole seams (see link below, couldn’t find a summer example). The tunic cut is a softer look than the more tailored, set-in sleeve, and very feminine IMO.
http://www.knittingdaily.com/r.....digan3.jpg
PS. If you go cardy-shopping again, and you don’t find what you want in white, how about a nude/ beige/wheat colour to widen your options? This neutral has the versatility of white, and would look nice with your hair colour.

#1 is my favorite. I'm not usually a fan of ruffles, but these are very understated and add fun/interest without being over the top. Plus I really like the more cropped fit on you :-). I also prefer the smaller of the Michael Kors sweaters -- the fit through the arms seems better to me (close-fitting without being too tight or with visible stretching).

LOL about the "your sweater is untied" comment. That is precisely why I was on the fence about it. Undone ties like that drive me batty. It really looks nice on you though.

Well, it's as clear as mud now! I have tried these sweaters on so many times now that I am beyond confused about them. And they were all about $50 - $70 so the price isn't a big factor. I could keep more than one too if I was sure I was going to wear it. I'm not a ruffle person but for some reason I like the pleated ruffles on 1/2/3 (the INC sweater), but it feels a little baggy in the shoulders on the back. If I was going to keep one of the Michael Kors sweaters I'd probably lean toward the smaller one 4/5/6/7 becuase it was $15 less and seems to have less fabric in the front "drape", but I'm not sure if the sleeves are a little snug. And I do like the cut and "stripes" of the 12-15 Jones sweater but I wonder if a longer sleeve sweater is practical here (it will be 96 here today), and I have visions of people telling me "Your sweater's untied" every time I wear it. But I have to give considerable wieght to Angie's vote!

Ditto on Angie's pick. If you want the option to wear it closed on the bottom, you could try a belt or one of those fabric flower brooches that are in stores right now. I agree with you with regards to knotting, for my eye, it doesn't have the ideal proportions to be knotted, as I would prefer to see on you a higher-up knot that would function as an empire waist.

#2 looks really good on you. I like the material and the sleeves on the last one; but I think it's pretty obvious the sweater is supposed to be tied. There just isn't enough material in the tie/drape front pieces to look correctly proportioned; the ties just hang there looking kind of wimpy. Are you sure you hate it tied? Looks like it would be cute...

I'm not keen on 1 - I don't find it flattering on you. I like the other two, not sure about sizing. The last one has less fabric, which might make it more versatile, and you get to scrunch the sleeves!

My favorite is the first one, and I don't even like ruffles. I like the fit of it on you, very flattering. My second favorite is the size XL Michael Kors. It is more trendy than the INC sweater. Can you keep both of them? For all your fashion moods. I think you will get use out of them. I really like the way you styled them, with the white top underneath, fitted clam diggers and trendy sandals. Perfect!

I have been looking for a white sweater for a while. These are 4 different ones I'm considering. I can't decide which, if any, I should keep. Any feelings on which is better or on white sweaters in general? I don't have any white "layers" currently. I do have one white Tommy Hilfiger jean jacket, but it's really a little too big. I think the Jones one (12/13/14/15) is actually supposed to be tied in the front which I didn't realize when I bought it (but it looks really bad tied on me) so I thought I'd try it untied.
