I agree 110% with Khris.

I am busty (enough to consider a D cup small) and I wear volume all the time. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I find that it has to drape well and it can't be too stiff, lest you look like a tent. I tried this dress, for example, and it looked horrible on me:

http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/.....=661646012

Cotton twill was just the wrongest ever possible fabric to use on this dress. Too thick, too stiff. It looked so cute in the picture, I was bummed when it didn't work in real life.

I like rayon and silk best for voluminous tops. The silk top I have is dressier while the rayon is more casual, but all of them drape nicely.

I think it's just a lot of trial and error. There will be volumous tops that will flatter you, but there are so many variables that it's best to just go and try a bunch on. Take pictures in the dressing room so you can look back at them (or post them for opinions).

I'm a busty hourglass too and definitely prefer fitted shirts. Front knot blouses kind of like this one in Angie's store are flattering: http://youlookfab.com/store/20.....front-top/ Another option is to wear a billowy shirt but belt it at the waist.

Being an hourglass I usually stick to more fitted/tailored silhouttes for tops but they get kind of boring. I have some tops that are a bit more on the billowy side but sometimes cant seem to make them work. Any suggestions on what kind of silhouette I should be looking out for that will flatter my hourglass/big bust/short legged frame?
