They are considered "barefoot" running shoes, and if you are considering using them be advised they require quite a change in technique. If they are for looks only they are not very padded on the insole (as most trainers are) so may not be as comfy as you are expecting. I just bought a fancy pair of Adidas on a whim at an outlet and drove me crazy - I switched back to the Asics yesterday and I was a happy, happy girl. I assume working out? If you are wearing them for high impact or running, I highly suggest visiting a specialty running shoe store. A good store will assess you for the right shoe for your feet and walking/running style.
