The Longchamps offers a simple elegance that can stand on its own or that would blend into the background if you wanted to carry it with another small purse. <br />All of that said, I understand not wanting to spend a lot, too. I prefer that it has matching black handles which looks more sleek to me. </p> <p>I don't normally go for logo bags but the Coach caught my eye because the size seems good (both are&nbsp;actually larger than the Longchamps, maybe even too long?) and there is a big difference in price. </p> <p>I&nbsp;have a leather tote that I have had for many many years so I do want fabric/nylon for this one. My daughter recently had&nbsp;a nylon tote similar to Longchamps for 2 years, with intense use and multiple exotic travels. &nbsp;It held up beautifully for under $40. &nbsp;YMMV- I am not a "bag du jour" shopper and tend to prefer smaller brands. I also find I need different things from my totes- some need to fold and be lightweight, others need to be durable, sometimes I want fashionable. &nbsp;One could say that the Longchamps is all three.
