I guess am having trouble wrapping my brain around having a fitted or tight sweatshirt! I think it's because you pointed out more white shows. I also think it's the kind of jacket that should be fitted at the shoulders. Much of that must be in the eye of the beholder, but don't think that anyone except you will see the difference. So choose whatever feels more comfortable for you. I typically go slightly larger in jackets, just because that is how jackets are supposed to fit in my mind. I'm surprised to see significantly more votes for the smaller size (about 2/3) than the larger size (about 1/3). I actually prefer the larger size myself (the looser fit feels more modern), but the pattern placement does bug me a little especially since the smaller size's placement is so fantastic. Still, I think I'll be keeping the larger size on this, even with the pattern placement being a little less white-up-front than I'd prefer (something to be said for going to the store and rifling through the items to find just the right one!).
