I did not get to listen to the article and only skimmed the responses. Did they look at handedness? Most people are right handed structurally it's more comfortable to reach the left side on angle than straight up on right for parting hair. Also it's easier to style length with the dominant hand because of strength and dexterity. Were these factors accounted for? I would say anatomy and structure dictate a significant amount of physical choices.
