But many people like them better with a more refined shoe, for juxtaposition (e.g. a pump). I tried that but for me it doesn't work, partly because of the fabric weight (I would consider it if these were satin parachute pants, say -- or even nylon). And partly because I wear them casually and need to be able to walk.
