I have to say, that I would be thrilled if my feet would put up with any of my foreign trips in shoes this stylish other than for dinner or non walking activities. I typically walk at least 10 miles a day and somehow toe boxes that never bother me at home can feel tighter while away. I also need cushioning between the bottoms of my feet and the uneven streets. Last trip, I wore a pair of AGL Euro style black sneakers for my heavy duty walking, with cushioned Cole Haan oxfords for shorter jaunts. I am sure my feet are beyond fussy at this point, so if any of these work, go for it. These could get great use no matter where you are, whereas my travel shoes don't get too much use when I am home. That's because they fit me like a glove, and I can wear them with or without nylons or peds. Fit is key. I love the low vamp on them, with my ankles and calves. They don't have a lot of support, but oddly, I still find them comfortable for lots of airport and city walking.<br />If you like a little higher vamp, though, I'm with the votes for 4, 2, or 1, in that order. I think 4 or 2 are slightly more versatile than an all-patent shoe. And I think 4 looks more current than 2 or 1.
