All three are beautiful, but my vote goes to the animal print ankle boots too. I think you'll be amazed about how versatile these can be, Scarlet. Plus, you'll be smiling every time you look at your feet;-)

I like all 3 of them. I think you should be brave and get what Angie says. Also, I've had 4 kids and my feet are the same size that they always have been.

There are so many good arguments here, no wonder I cannot make up my mind! I appreciate all your thoughts so much.

AJ and Deborah, thanks for sharing your vote and experience.

CocoLion, high-five for shoe taste! You are right--the sneakers are from Ash. I have some booties from them that I am really happy with, so I would have high hopes for the sneaks. I really can’t imagine you looking dorky in your Tsubos, though. Did you ever post them?

Transition, thanks for sharing your experience. I guess to be honest I don’t know anyone around here wearing shoes like this either, but the folks around me are used to me doing my own thing, so I wouldn’t feel self-conscious. I respect feeling differently though.

Claudia, another smart argument for 1. I know I would reach for those all the time.

KathyL, that makes sense.

Qpswan, here I was thinking 1 was the winner, but what you are saying makes so much sense too!

Modgrl, these are not the Rag&Bone. I decided those are too expensive and the heel was too high. These ones are a similar vibe, but with a 2 inch heel, which is pretty good for me.

Ruth, and now the sneakers again! Yes they are fun!

Angie, I knew you would choose those ones :o) But I hadn’t considered they would be good with my hair, interesting.

Ah, JR, you give me hope.

Jonesy, now I am wondering what you didn’t like about the Sam Edelmans you said you returned...

I have got to say that I really do not want to believe that my feet will change size! My ligaments are problematically loose anyway if I do not exercise A LOT, and I went up a half shoe size during my twenties (probably due to less exercise), so I am wondering if pregnancy can really loosen me up even more. The added weight will definitely be a factor squishing my feet out, though, and there is just no way to know. I should probably look into foot yoga, to tone up my feet I guess for whatever I buy I will make sure there is some extra room that can be taken up with an insole for not. Oh gosh, thinking on this, thinking, thinking.

I also love #2, but think they are all fabulous! My feet got wider and stayed wider (something about the ligaments loosening or something?) after having kids.

My feet are a whole size larger than they were before pregnancy.

My eye immediately went to those cute sneakers in pic #3, but the boots in #1 may be more practical. Depends on your lifestyle, really.

My feet changed size for a while but eventually went back to my pre-pregnancy shape. I would say right now look for comfort above almost anything else. The last thing you need is for your feet to hurt.

I saw your Rag&Bone booties. They are stunning. Stunningly expensive. Also the heel is quite high. They are very comfortable for high heels. But high heels none the less.

As a Classic Modern, I vote for the leopard boots. However, my feet went up half a size after pregnancy (even after I lost weight).

As a new mom, you probably won't have much time for your wardrobe; the leopard print is fun and will add interest to casual MOTG outfits. It will work with black and denim (staples of mom outfits) and give you a fashion forward feel you might lack after a sleepless night The heel is practical enough for stroller walks and shopping.

The leopard boots are an investment piece unlike the sneaker wedges (which are fab but not mom-friendly unless you are Victoria Beckham).

I like #1 the best and it will probably get the most use.

My shoe size didnt change with pregnancy but it can change permanently. If I remember correctly, the ligaments in your feet can become looser with pregnancy hormones and that combined with your increased weight alters the shape of your foot permanently.

I'd get number one, just because I'd be too self-conscious in the others since I never see anyone wearing shoes like those around here. . . and that's assuming you don't already have something similar.

There were two weeks at the end of my first pregnancy that I couldn't wear my normal shoes, but otherwise, no size changes for me during or after either of my pregnancies!

I adore your taste in shoes. I like all three. They all look fantastic to me. Can you purchase all three and keep the ones that are most comfortable? That is the emotional shopper in me.

Now here is the logical shopper.
Pair 1 -- I have some like this but with heels at 1.5 inches. Worn ALL the time, to the point where I need to take my black pair to the cobbler for a repair before fall (I have them in brown and black).
Pair 2 -- While I adore these, and I have some spotted calf hair wedges that remind me of these, they are not as go-to as #1. Would not be worn as much, I suspect.
Pair 3 -- I have one pair of Tsubo sneaker wedges but they are dorky compared to these (yours look like Ash, much cooler). Mine are not high top like these which makes them so much more stable.

Bottom line, I would narrow it down to #1 or #3.

ETA -- I never had kids but my feet have grown with age! Size 5.5 in my teens, size 6 in my 20s and 30s, crept up to a size 6.5 by my 50s. I am also around 15 lbs heavier than when I was in my 20s, so I suspect some of it is related to weight gain as well as wear and tear/usage. Don't a lot of women gain weight after bearing children, and could that be the reason?

Scarlet my shoe size hasn't really changed. I think I bought a pair of flats in a 7 while I was pregnant but I went back to a 6 afterwards. Also, a friend of mine has just had her first baby and she is wearing her per baby shoes:)

I really like the leopard bootie. I think I can see you wearing these well:). And from what I recall they could play well in your wardrobe.

I have some birthday money from my mother burning a hole in my pocket :o) I plan to save most of it for now, but I am tempted to pick up a new pair of shoes for fall. These three caught my eye and I would like some advice on which to go for. They all cost about the same.
The first one I saw in person, a brown ankle boot. This one is totally me and would get worn a ton.
Number 2, the famous Petty boot but in Snow Leopard. This one is totally not me, but I am flirting with the idea. I don't know how comfortable I would be with such a graphic print on my foot even though I can admire the look on others, like Angie.
Number 3--I would really like to try out the wedge sneaker trend. A completely neutral version might be safer, but I think I actually want colors, along the motto "go big or go home" (BTW, who started that one--MaryK? Heather?). These colors, while "me" are maybe just too in-between neutral and color. Maybe I should go bright, but I haven't found an example in the right price range.

Finally, for the mamas or doctors out there, did your feet permanently change size after giving birth? I thought this could happen due to ligament loosening, but as I am the queen of overly loose ligaments anyway, I am suspecting this won't happen to me. Maybe I should proceed with caution, but it's so boring to put everything on hold!
