No idea about the colors, but the description about the jewelry sounds just like me and I once self-diagnosed as a soft summer. I can wear some warmer tones, I'm not the typical summer of the four season palette. But not too warm either. I feel I look best in a mix of neutral, warm and cool, when the colors are SOFT. Not too light, not too bright. Black doesn't work as a solid color near my face, but I feel it's fine otherwise. Charcoal grey works near my face. I personally think it's good to know roughly what kind of colors work (for me it's soft, taking the middle ground), but I'm not hung up about it anymore. I sometimes branch out slightly or wear unflattering colors when they're part of a print which I like.

Dh is a soft autumn and black is too harsh on him. Olive is really good, and greyish blue- darker and more muted than those versions.

It's a difficult question to answer, since the colours themselves belong to different seasons.

Charcoal grey and black are traditional Winter neutrals, but no Winter would be flattered by the other colours in that palette.

Mustard and burnt orange belong to Autumn. They make me think your friend must be an Autumn of some kind (the muted metals also point in this direction), since they are colours that only an Autumn can really pull off. I think the taupe you've attached is Soft Autumn, but possibly Summer as well.

I originally saw the first three colours as Soft Summer, but perhaps 1 and 3 could pass for Soft Autumn. I did a quick google for Soft Autumn palettes and similar shades do pop up.

Are you sure these are the best colours for this person? It may be that some of these are actually not her best. For example, perhaps she looks ok in black, but really a dark chocolate or aubergine would be more flattering.

Looks like soft autumn to me. Muted, a little bit warmer/earthier than soft summer would be.

1-3 look light summer with 1 and 2 possibly light spring, 4-5 true to dark autumn, 6-7 true or muted summer or autumn, 8 winter-but can be worn by bright spring or dark autumn.
Metal would suggest a muted season.
The lot together doesnt belong to any season, so if it's the same person I'd guess dyed hair and or tan is affecting it.

When it comes to the 12-season color analysis system, which specific season or sub-season looks best in the following colors:

light misty green

light misty blue

light lilac

burnt orange

mustard yellow

Best neutrals are taupe, charcoal gray, and black

Color swatches attached.

When it comes to metals, this person can wear both silver and gold, but only if the metal isn't bright.

For example, she looks bad in brightly polished silver or bright yellow gold, it distracts from her. But she is flattered by oxidized silver, gunmetal, or gold if the item is dainty, textured, or old-looking.

Thanks.
