I could wear the yellow mules with this - my other options don’t work (I have worn this with tall boots in winter twice and with the yellow mules once).</p> <p>Texstyle - it’s a new theatre and this is the opening night. So this is the first event there. I think the blue print is busy and maybe not trendy enough for this event so I have mentally put that option in last place although it is the breeziest if we get an especially warm<br /> Night.</p> <p>Thanks Carla - I don’t have a green clutch but I would consider buying a new clutch. I am a guest of one of the people on the board and we will have a meal out first, then cocktails at the theatre and then a show to view. It is midsummer, and I expect there will be a full range of formality levels and creativity on display. I live in a regional city not a large capital<br /> city.</p> <p>My options are:</p> <p>1. Black dress with split - would wear yellow mules to make it less formal and more creative. Only worn once to black tie awards night. </p> <p>2.Zebra print dress - with yellow<br /> Mules or black flats- fun but not always the best in a photo. I have worn this about eight to ten times total in just over a year.</p> <p>3.Black midaxi dress with tee top-<br /> Most casual but could layer with jewelry and wear dressy shoes. This has had 20 plus wears in just over a year.</p> <p>4.1970s style blush midi dress - with white wedge sandals. Most creative dress. Worn four times in total in three years.</p> <p>5.Blue floral midi dress - this is pretty and comfortable but the print is busy and is a bit dated. But I do like the dress. Worn about six to seven times over four years.</p> <p>6.Palazzo pants and black top. Easy and very much me. But I have worn this a lot - the pants over 30 times.</p> <p>I expect there to be lots of photos as it is that type of occasion. I am a bit player here and in no way the lead, but that is a consideration.</p> <p>I am leaning to three of these and away from three but interested in your thoughts. </p>
