Joana - Both very pretty coats. I think the stance of #1, the clean lines and side entry pockets (to me more practical for storing gloves without bulges) makes it uber flattering. Nice length, classic but modern and versatile. #2, I know this does not describe the style exactly, but it's giving me an updated peacoat vibe. Cute but I think the front detailing and trendy cut might give it less longevity. If you are looking for a casual piece for a couple of seasons then it's very cute. But I think #1 has an edgy urban dressy vibe that will be in style and on trend for a longer period of time!! You really can't go wrong, both lovely but very different choices!! What would fill the niche best for you?

I had a quick tour through shops when the fall collections started coming in, and there are not many coats that I liked, in that context these two are surprisingly great options, I like them, and they suit me. I would be happy not to look further.
I see #1 is winning The sleeves are indeed a bit short, I would take it to my seamstress to find out if that can be altered (hopefully yes).

I avoided double breasted peaces for long time, you know that stuff - hourglasses and big breasted women are recommended to wear single breasted coats with defined waist and belted. Nothing personal about double breasted stuff in my case :) #1 breaks many rules

I prefer # 1 for a coat, but the R sleeve looks short in the photo. Also, do you prefer double breathed over dongle? Y I think they're harder to wear open. Guess I'm asking, are these 2 your faves or are you still looking?

Both look excellent on you. I think it will come down to your personal style. I don't think you can go wrong with either. I prefer 2 because for myself double breasted is difficult and I also like the edgier/sporty look of 2.

I personally really dig the asymmetry in 2, so that'd be the one I'd pick, but then I don't tend to like double breasted coats on me. On the other hand, 1 is very on trend, especially in the bigger size - man tailored and a bit loose, like I've seen in all the fashion mags for fall.

IF you only need a casual coat, then 2 is great, but if you need a more dressed up look , go with #1.....I think you can always "casualize" a dress coat that is tailored and simple, but it's hard to "formalize" a very casual coat....

Both coats look very good on you but if you need a more formal coat, I would go with #1. I do love #2 on you ( such a fun style) but it reads more casual. So it will depend on which style will be more useful.

Both coats really look great on you. Which one is more representative of your style? I like #1 best for my style. One question...are the pockets on 2 also accessible from the side? If not, that would be a deal breaker for me because I like easy access to pockets on a coat. The first coat could be worn with jeans, trousers or skirts/dresses. The second looks like a jeans coat, if that makes any difference.

I dress casual/smart casual, I think I want to stay in smart casual zone, but be more of refined, edgy, tailored. In these terms #1 suit better with what I want to be, and #2 with what I am today, I ques :)

And yes - #1 definitely would be paired with scarfs, but the same goes to #2, I can not stand cold winds around my neck, I would pack a scarf into that collar too. Would that make the whole look worse? Maybe partially open collar and scarf?
I can see #1 paired with sporty sneakers, chelsea boots, tall boots - almost anything. But I gues #2 paired with sneakers, would be too much of the sporty look?
Just analyzing posibilities

They are two completely different coats, so it is hard to choose.
No.1 is more dressy and looks warm. It probably isn't quite long enough to wear over a dress but would be great over pants.
No. 2 is more casual and a bit irregular which makes it interesting. I'd choose this one if you want it for casual use only.
Ultimately, it really depends on what you want your coat to do.
Personally, I'd err on the side of No. 1. I think the style of No.1 would have more longevity and it looks smart on you.

I really like #1 on you! The pockets are not centred in the second coat and it's drawing my eye straight to them - and I think the collar on the second coat would personally drive me nuts - poking me in the chin etc - but that is purely a personal response.

The classic look of the first coat allows you to style it in several ways - dressier with a silk or silk/wool scarf, leather gloves etc, or sporty , with a knit infinity scarf and shearling trim gloves. I really like the slightly oversize cut too!

So I am looking for wool coat, I tried these two at zara, without hight hopes. But they both look really good on me. Photos don't do justice for them. Note photos from zara, in the motion everything looks way better, it's a pity that #2 can not be found on website.

Both are the exact same fabric - wool blend, both look better in the move, and look good when open.

#1 I had to size up from my usual size, because it was very snug at armholes, in real life it doesn't look sooo boxy. The feel is dressier in this coat.
#2 my usual size, the feel of room is exact same as #1. Is a bit shorter than #1
has nice big standing collar. Feeling modern, and stylish in it.

I really love them both, please help me choose one
