One is a weatherproof snow boot, the other a lightweight suede that is neither as warm nor as impermeable as the first. I live in a cold climate and right now only have a much sportier-looking pair of snow boots (gray). It would be nice to dress for the snow and feel more put-together at the same time. I also own a pair of Bare Traps and while they're good, they're not as top notch as other dressy snow boots--hence the attractive price, but it wouldn't be a quality investment)</p>
