She said "isn't that outdated? I said- that's what I'm looking for- LOL) so I'm going to try that and see if it works. (She also had a black wrap that she let me take. Somehow the delicateness of that necklace seemed to work for us.<br /> Necklace 3 seemed a bit harsh to both of us, with number 2 being a bit washed out. I liked the idea of the brooch too, but felt that I needed someting to fill in my chest area. My son told me it looked like a grandma anyway- LOL. Gotta love kids.<br /> I think the biggest problem is that I'm not 100% sold on any of them. What I see in my head I have yet to find in any store. To me all these necklaces are pretty, but none make a statement. We also like that it dangles a bit lower - you mentioned being wary of jewelry that rides too high on your neck.</p> <p>Necklace #3 is our second favorite. It's definitely a striking piece, but hangs closer to your neckline. </p> <p>The brooch is absolutely beautiful! We're still leaning toward a necklace with this dress, however. I'm intrigued by the idea and want to try it out. I might have time after Christmas to do a bit more looking, but I'm not sure a choker would be the best look for me.... When I tried these necklaces worn shorter like a choker, I wasn't sold on the look. Stuff up high on my neck seems to add weight to me. </p>
