I recently had to choose new frames and I think I spent at least four hours (in two 2 hr blocks) trying on different frames. During this process I quickly worked out what shape worked best and from there I then worked on which color(s) were best. I chose two new frames and I love them...it was well worth the time I put in...next time when I want to update my frames I don't think it will take quite as long as I think I now have an understanding of what suits me. That's why I liked the first ones--they're a little trendier than what I have now, but not so out there that they look like a costume. I find the darker frame in 2 to be a bit more dramatic and 3 blends in a bit more. I think both work quite well but a slightly narrower frame may be better.
