I prefer the first pair. It may depend on your body type. If you have a large bone structure in your ankle, maybe #2 would look better. If you have a small-to-medium bone structure, I think #1 is better.

I think 1 is what gives the espadrille look, while 2 heads into generic wedge territory but without being refined.
I would worry less about fall-ifying because both have exposed foot, and you can still wear #1 into fall with some modifications of the overall outfit, and I wouldn't pick #2 just so it could be worn with black tights, for example--so I think #1 will give you the most style fun and usefulness for what it is.

I like #1 the best by far. It feels more summery to me, and I just like the look a lot better. But, the second one might be a better option as I have no idea how dirty the light ones would get or how difficult they would be to clean.

Joyce, I have the wedges with the exact same lighter sole which are 3 seasons old - they've been in heavy rotation especially for the last 2 - and there's not a sign of dirt on them ;-)

I prefer the 1 w the white wedge but 2 is more practical because the wedge of 1 will get very dirty with use.

#1. #2 is verging on clunky with the dark, thick, sole. somehow the natural jute color is less blocky looking to me.

My sister has this shoe and it's super cute and the wide elastic holds your foot in nicely. Should I get the one with the light colored wedge or the dark one?

Light pro:
It looks taller because of the two tones.

Dark pro:
It's still hot into late fall, so I'm thinking the darker wedge will transition into fall better. But does it look frumpier than the lighter wedge?

Want to order this today, so would appreciate quick responses. Thanks for your help!
