I use a natural type deodorant from Jason with Tea Tree Oil which doesn't stain or yellow but it can leave white marks if you overdo it, or don't let it dry completely when getting dressed. Know how to get rid of those white marks? Use the underside of the same fabric to rub them off or "erase" them. It works! I find that most antiperspirants have chemicals that seem to cause yellowing on white fabrics. I haven't tried the one others have mentioned but I prefer not to use the chemical antiperspirants.

I haven't found a deodorant that doesn't stain, but I haven't great luck with rubbing alcohol getting the stains out easily.

I have had pretty good luck with Mitchum Smart Solid:

http://www.mitchum.com/Product.....mance.aspx

Seems to work much better for me than their clear gel-type antiperspirant. At first I was afraid of the white-looking stick, but no white marks on my clothes and it works better than the gels do.

I've tried some guaranteed not to but did. The one I have now works for me:
Lady Speed Stick stainguard fights yellow stains and white residue. It's a stick.
However, same company Lady Speed Stick stainguard, same scent, did leave white stains. Go figure. The one that works for me is deep purple. The one that didn't work is light lavender.

Nivea has a roll on called "Pure Invisible" in Australia. It really works for me on both white & black. I've tried everything else including the salt crystals & they tend to irritate my (sensitive) skin.

I'd offer to send you some but they are glass bottles :)

Degree makes one that supposed not to leave white residue. It's not perfect but pretty minimal & I wear a lot of black.

Crystal doesn't work for me & the last gel I tried left white stains. It was Mitcham for women. I found a roll on in Australia that doesn't leave white stains, but I'm not sure about yellow. It is a dove roll on. Roll ons aren't big here. It didn't keep me odour free as long as I would have liked. I like to shower & apply deodorant only once a day. I shower more if I have time or special occasion. I don't reapply deodorant on armpits that are not freshly showered. I'm not particularly a heavy sweater but I don't find the natural ones or crystal ones prevent odour.

Were you asking about sweat stains or about the product residue? I read it that you asking about the product residue...the white scuffs on dark armholes.

I don't think it's been answered yet...and I haven't found one either. i will keep watching this thread and hope someone knows!

I use Crystal which is a natural mineral salt, i.e. a rock. No staining and it stops the smell but not the wetness. I don't live in a hot climate, run cold, and I don't sweat much any more as my hair follicles and sweat glands have probably been affected by an autoimmune condition.

Yes, I second Certain-Dri.

In terms of deodorants, clear gel deodorants (that are not also antiperspirants) generally don't stain. All they do is cover smell though, not stop sweating.

I use unscented gel deodorants.

Also, using CertainDri prevents sweating - you wear it at night, so it doesn't leave stains by day.

I didn't put this in off topic because it is related to wearing sleeveless tops & dresses. Angie's post had me thinking about this again. If I should move it to OT let me know.

Has anyone found a very effective deodorant that truly doesn't leave white stains on dark clothes. Also has anyone found one that doesn't leave yellow stains on white? It can be two different deodorants. I don't expect it to not leave white stains on darks & not leave yellow stains on yellow. I will kepp both in my cabinet as well as a natural one for the rest of the time.
