I am not sure on these. They lean sort of frumpy to me, but I am definitely not an expert on trends! Still, might be worth the frump factor for, comfort.

Gotcha. Well if you're ever in Nordie's or a store that carries Naot you'll have to try them on to see. I have a very similar slender but not narrow foot. I heard someone describe it as a "low volume" foot, and that made so much sense!

These are really for your walking and daytime right? A little metallic number for evening takes up so little space...

Curious to find out how you find the fit as it sounds like my feet are similar. My sandals are by Chie Mihara but they did not bring out the style this year. Boo hoo!

Naot is a good one to try for narrower foot.

Color is variable but I tend to like a not-black color since my feet are so pale. But it depends on the style, the leather, the actual color--you know, some "read" cheaper or more frumpy or whatever in a particular color. And it depends on your clothing capsules--brown to me reads easily as daytime casual color, even when mixed with black, especially if you have summer colors like straw and cream and tan as part of the outfit, but brown for evening is more dependent on what you're wearing--may not go as well with a LBD, for example, unless you do make it more intentional with accessories.
You might try on some sandals in a store, or ones you've got, and see if you are a black-sandal person or someone who prefers a warmer or more nude color.

Claire, those Naot sandals you linked to are cute. However, I always seem to have a problem with the front straps (near the toe) always being too big for me. That's what initially drew me to the Alegria Verona. The front, instep and slingback straps are all adjustable, velcro straps. (Sometimes the buckle straps do not have enough holes to suit my slim-but-not-quite-narrow-feet and adding more holes just makes the strap look too long and funny.)

Looking at the "aerial" view of the sandals you posted, they do look a bit wide and chunky. But hey, it's Zappos so you can order a bunch to try, right? I like them in either color. I think any dark shade will bookend your hair; it doesn't have to be an exact match to get the effect.

AJ, I don't know how much these cost, but since I know your foot is a lot like mine I have a feeling that Naots would work really well for you. They require almost no break in and are like a Birkenstock, but for narrower feet. They're made on a more delicate scale for your feet and legs, as well. I'll try to link to the pair I had. They have some really pretty metallic leathers and jeweled buckles, too.

http://www.zappos.com/naot-foo.....ne-leather

This is the same cork footbed as I had but the straps are different. This price is better than what I paid though! Now I'm off to look at your link....sorry I didn't do that before I exuberantly tried to sway you away from the sandals you posted! :/

I like the black ones (less frumpy looking, IMO) - but, it will probably more depend on your travel capsule colors, than anything else!

I like them and have something similar. I wore them every day last summer and found they had dress up and dress down potential.

I don't wear brown but I have found a brown/tan summer sandal to be so mixable and versatile. They are less obvious on the foot than black if they are not the focal point of the outfit and more a practical requirement if that makes sense. They also can look more expensive in the brown.

We will be doing a lot of walking on our summer vacation so I'm on the hunt for a comfortable and nice looking pair of sandals that will go with shorts and skirts.

What do you think of the Alegria Verona?
http://www.zappos.com/alegria-.....?zlfid=2#z

Anyone have these? I'm a little worried that the squarish shape might look off with my slender and long foot, but there are 3 adjustable straps that should help with fit. Plus the bit of stone bling makes it look less frumpy, no?

The brown is calling me a bit more, but maybe it's safer to bookend my hair with the black? Haven't yet decided on the colors of my travel capsule, but I plan on a very minimal wardrobe, ACK!
