I've been having the same dilemma over some I'm looking at.</p> <p>The merlot is dressier. The cognac really good for jeans and maybe more contrast if you wear a ;pt pf black. The merlot of course great with light grays and pinks and really anything--it's also a virtual neutral.. </p> <p>I'm no help but maybe if you really target the tops, pants and/or skirts you'll wear the most and see if a pattern emerges. Take some photos outside. Take some photos (whether you show us or not) that combine your whole face with the jacket, for better skin tone/color eval. I have both burgundy and cognac shoes and belt. So can match easily. No burgundy purse. Some yellow.</p> <p>Bottoms: dark blue and grey jeans. I really dislike acid wash or light blue jeans so none in that color. Others are work pants in basic colors. Skirts collection is like rainbow.</p> <p>Dresses are mostly black, white or black/white print.</p> <p>Also I have bomber jacket in black and cream.</p> <p>Pinterest ad blogs have cognac only it seems so I guess there's more inspiration in that color. Nothing really in burgundy. </p>
