I have even aquaired quite a few, new and thrifted. But I seldom or never wear them. My lifestyle and climate don't seem to go along with long coats.. Too fuzzy to wear when seated (car, commute). When it's really cold I'd rather wear puffers, when it's pouring rain I need waterproof jackets. </p> <p>The weather has to be relatively mild and dry. I must prance around freely when wearing them. A tie-waist style can be very annoying in wool or wool blend -- ends up feeling bulky around the middle, especially if you are wearing a belt (jeans) beneath. I love the look but after multiple experiments have concluded that for me, at least, it is usually better to reserve ties for lighter weight trenches.&nbsp;</p> <p>The cocoon is nice but not as versatile.
