I'm still undecided. I have acquired an embarrassing number of new boots that all seem to look very similar. Angie, the boots I was wearing in the Maxxinista picture are a different pair... but I suppose they do look very similar. They're a lighter brown, though. I sort of like the half and half pair because they are so different, but I do know that they Sudinis are better made and probably more practical.

I think I need to take pictures of all the boots and then narrow it down. I don't need four pairs of brown riding boots. When I see a shoe in my size I tend to get really excited and buy it. And then I find myself in this predicament. I was like a kid in a candy store at the Rack's large size shoe event. It was amazing having tons of shoes in my size to try on! I had to practice a lot of self control.

Marianna, I think both the boots are interesting. I vote for the Sudinis because they seem like a better quality pair, so you'll be able to wear them for a long time.

Sooooo, I have a pair of black patent Stuart Weitzman half and half’s (boots on the far left):

http://youlookfab.com/2008/09/.....igh-boots/

They are completely weather proof - stretchy fabric included. I LOOOOOOOOOOVE these boots. They are 12-hour walking boots and were worth every penny.

So back to your question Marianna. Sudini is an excellent brand and there is NO doubt about it. Also, you were wearing these boots in one of your stunning Maxxinista outfits! But I love the first pair too. Very different.

Mac, I'm planning to wear my boots mostly over skinny jeans.

I think I will stick with the Sudinis. The fact that they're waterproof is a huge bonus in a Chicago climate.

I`m curious, Marianna. Are you planning to wear the boots mostly with dresses, over skinny jeans, under bootcut jeans...

Overall, I prefer the second pair because I feel they give you more of an unbroken, lean line to your leg. Also, I owned a pair of boots in the past with stretch fabric in the calf and it stretched out in weird ways (not to say that this would happen with your boots, but it`s a concern for me).

I think sometimes it is wise to go with the classic style, keeping to just one statement in your outfit. When you find your statement wool coat in the fabulous shade of yellow you love, I'm sure you will want to pair them with a simpler boot to let the coat shine. Therefore I'm voting for the Sudinis.

I prefer the look of the 2nd boots. I personally don't like the fabric panel on the back of the other ones and the picture makes them look a bit too narrow round the ankle. I hope you manage to make a decision!

Way to be difficult Marianna :)

Well, after careful consideration I am casting my vote for the Sudinis. I'll be honest: they really don't meet the requirement of being "different." They are ultra classic riding boots, not especially unique.

That said, I have a similar pair from La Canadienne and I adore them. They are beautifully made, waterproof, very comfortable, and even though they are not statement boots, they work well with virtually any outfit I put together and even as my own style evolves, I know they will have a place in my closet for years to come.

The Impo ones are definitely inferior in terms of quality and probably won't have a long stay in your wardrobe either due to the style or the quality. The only thing that would make me vote for them is if you already have a pair of boots that is comparable to the Sudinis, which I'm guessing you don't otherwise you wouldn't have bought them! Plus they are SO cheap! Waterproof fashion brands like Aquatalia and La Canadienne are usually nosebleedingly expensive so you got a fabulous deal!

The Sudini ones are definitely more practical since they are waterproof, and they are also very well made (I used to own a pair). I doubt the other one is waterproof just because the stretchy material probably can't be. But the color you described sounds so amazing and they are definitely very unique! I don't think the different materials are weird at all.

I guess it depends what is more important to you: Something practical or something different.

I went to Nordstrom Rack's large size shoe event and came away with two pairs of riding boots (I bought two to play with at home, must return one). They're both really similar and both fit perfectly, but I am unsure of which to keep.

I'm currently too lazy to take pictures of the boots (I can tomorrow) but I have questions about the boots:

1) Impo Stretch riding boot... this boot is half patent leather and half stretchy material. It is sort of weird, but I sort of like it because it's different.

Here's the boot, except mine is an awesome brown metallic patent leather:
http://www.dsw.com/dsw_shoes/c.....ain-_-main

Is it really weird that the back of the boot is made of a different fabric?!

2) This is the other boot in chocolate vintage:
http://www.zappos.com/sudini-chase

This boot is really simple and ordinary, but Sudini is great and waterproof. I don't know if the other boot is waterproof. I paid $99.90 which seems like a great price for this boot! The other boot was less... around $50.

They fit exactly the same and look pretty much the same from the front... but which one is nicer?
