It depends on where they are getting their stock- if it is recycled or ?? Titanium is also gray- not black so I am not sure what is going on there. TItanium oxide is white so it is not an anodize coating. </p> <p>Titanium is great as it does not react with anything - except fluorides. It is resistance to all acids, bases and organics (blood)&nbsp; etc... so it should be one of the best materials for persons with allergies due to the fact is it so inert. I guess that is why it is used for medical devices. </p> <p>I know on the market it is expensive- but I am not sure the cost of some of these items is totally justifiable.
