You can get a buckle or two, then pick straps in various colors that can be changed out in 10 seconds. When I was in Paris last month, I found a store that worked this way. I got one buckle and two straps. Love it! I discovered belts.com the other day when I was looking for a strap to replace a worn one attached to a buckle I love. I was distressed at having to lose the whole belt. Now I can keep the buckle and just change the strap. Not always the highest quality leather, but good for cheap and cheerful.
