Itty Bitty Bra are indeed made for the petite bust. The bras go from AA, A to B and have been specifically designed for the petite bust. The UK agent selling these and other petite bra sizes is http://www.perfectly-petitelingerie.co.uk
They are trying to build a comprehensive collection of lingerie in the smaller sizes to offer the customer as much choice as possible. There is a search function for Bra by size so you don't have to wade through collections that may not fit.

there are companies that specialize in small busts. as that is not my issue i haven't paid much attention, but i have seen them in the industry literature.

Looks like I'm a little late here, but I love Warner's. They are just the right size and just the right spacing. They are inexpensive and easily found at Macy's and I think at Kohl's. I can't remember the specific type, but it is wire free, has a satiny trim at the top of the cup, and a little bow. Pretty basic and plain, but I love them!

This is a very helpful chain of posts! Plushpenguin, I think I am the same size as you. I find that some padding makes clothes fit better. I have a VS "biofit" in 36A that works pretty well, although I still have some air pockets issues. I do miss my breastfeeding rack. Although I just found out that I may be able to look forward to "them" again in...oh, 8.5 months or so!

the only company I know of that has so many different size is the one below. they say they have over 80 sizes. I've seen 32AA, 34AA, 36AA and 38AA on there. I think I even saw a 36AAA. I have their distraction bras and they really do add 2 cup sizes. they're really great bras, and the fit makes it perfect. I have small breasts so if they work for me, I'm sure they'll work for you too.

Plushpenguin, I was getting Thank Goodness It Fits in the smallest cup size and they weren't filled out. Because of this forum I had a bra fitting at Nordstroms and was amazed. Please go and see what information they can give you. I wish I'd gone years ago. They don't have to be expensive. I got two from their sale rack. Like Angie's client, I needed a smaller band size and actually a bigger cup size. I'd never have believed I could actually fill out any bra cup.
Just go. It's free.

I have to chime in on the "hard to fit small sizes" category. Even though I am small chested, I still need to wear a bra to keep my breasts from disappearing into my arm pits. My big complaint is even if you get yourself fitted, every brand fits differently! When I try on bras, I have to get 34A, 34B, 36A, 36B in every style that looks interesting to me. An A might be huge in one style and a B too tight in another style. Ditto on the band size. I am currently having luck with Warners bras in 34B. Nothing else is even in the ballpark!

I'm going to check out that website...

It really is essential to have a fitting, if you have not, even if they don't have your size...as the women at Nordstrom's often say: "I've seen it all"! They might be an untapped resource of information, even if they do not carry what you need in the store, they may be able to steer you in the direction you need. Like I had no idea that cup size increases as the band size increases...so I was buying small cups sizes not knowing that I needed a larger cup because my band size was so small. To be honest, I envy anyone that doesn't need to wear a bra...I used to fall into that category when I was younger and now I don't. It's kind of problematic even though I've bought nice ones that fit, I don't love wearing them.

I hear you Plushpenguin. You don't know whether you are in the correct bra size if you’ve never been professionally fitted. You might be pleasantly surprised. I went on a bra course and there was someone there who insisted she was a 34 AA, when in fact she was a 32A. Bras and busts are not created equally despite the size label on the bra itself and finding a match is a science.

If you’re having challenges in this area, my suggestion is to get yourself fitted at Nordstrom by the manager of the lingerie dept. You will receive great assistance in the matter.

Good luck Plush! I hope those lulalu bras work for you. I know how frustrating it is to find bras that fit and are comfortable. Even though my difficulty falls at the other end of the spectrum, I feel your pain.

Is there a reason why you feel you must wear a bra, instead of a spandex type undershirt? Are you trying to create the look of a bust? I'm not trying to be crass, I'm just curious what your goal is. I think of the character Grace from Will and Grace. (I don't know if the actress does this in r/l, but the character she plays does). She is very flat chested, and she seemed to wear clothes that accentuated her flatness.

Well, anyway, I hope you find something that satisfies your need.

Found something! And they focus on finding bras that are actually shallow enough to fit women like me, not shrunken versions of larger bras. Hopefully there really as great as I think they are: http://www.lulalu.com/

A bra fitting is useless if they don't carry your size. If you're thinking I might discover I fit into a larger size that's easier to find, all I can say is it's just impossible. My boobs are so small they don't even have drape. Remember that old test for perky boobs where you stick a pencil underneath and see how long it stays there before it falls out, or something? It's not even possible for me to try that on myself. Nordstrom only sells one lightly lined, underwire free bra in my size. I could try on the other two bras they also sell in my size but other than that, I doubt they'll be able to help me. I can wear an A cup if I get a cup that lies close enough to the chest, and is lined thickly enough to hide the fact that it's half empty. I do that all the time, but I wish I had something better fitting. Does anyone know where to get smaller bras that aren't too expensive?

Plushpenguin, I get where you're coming from. There's no way I can fill an A cup soft cup bra (although I have a pretty small band size). It used to drive me crazy because even A/AA underwires never fit right: too much empty space, but also too tight (and the wire was never in the right place under the breast). It turned out I need to go up a cup size (I know, unthinkable!) because my breasts are pretty far apart. I used to think I needed bigger band sizes, but it turned out that a B cup bra can make all the difference.

I still have fit problems because I'm between an A and a B, and I still have annoying gaping issues, so it takes a lot of searching.

I'd definitely recommend a professional fitting. And you may need to try quite a few brands and styles (just like with jeans). Nordies is a great place to start.

A weird thing I have to do to have bra comfort is wear a shape wear type of cami everyday or my bra will drive me crazy by moving around, as you say the gapping, and this and that. I don't really understand why but the shape wear cami keeps it all in it's place and comfy for me. Well as comfy as a bra can be I guess. Never been a big fan and didn't start wearing underwires until a couple of years ago after a Nordstrom bra fitting.
I just saw that Spanx has a bra. I haven't seem it in person so don't know if it is just another flimsy stretchy bra-ette. I was curious about the comfort level though.

I would love a well fitted, lightly padded cup, btw. Most AA padded cups are cut in entirely the wrong way. I described it once as looking like they took a C cup bra and shrunk it with a shrink ray, meaning the cups are no where near shallow enough. They're all cut as if to hold 2 small, perfectly round nectarines, instead of the fried eggs women like me usually have. I hope that explanations not too vulgar;) No amount bra structure will force my flat bust into a round and proud shape. I can only achieve slight curve, but it makes all the difference.

I never did, but I am completely sure of my size. I have never filled in a larger cup in my life, and even some AA's leave room for water and goldfish. 34 hurts by the end of the day, and 38 allows my alway loose cups to gape.

AA bras for grown women are really hard to find, especially" lightly lined" versions, and in band sizes above 34. I'm looking for something inexpensive, and I prefer lightly lined, not unlined or padded. AA bras are most often made of unlined stretchy nylon. In my opinion bras like those are completely pointless, and don't really accomplish anything, other than making you feel like a proper women since at least your not going braless. Not that anyone else would realize your not going braless in one of those flimsy nylon numbers. Shopping for bras is amazingly difficult for me, even online. Most major online lingerie shops don't even bother carrying my size, and if they do they only carry 2 or 3 items.
