Dee, the styles at AT and the Loft are generally suited to shorter women (even in their regular merchandize section). I battle to find anything long enough for women over 5ft 8. You need to shop in Euro stores. Do you have those close by? The torso, sleeve and pant lengths are by default longer.

LE and Inge,
Thanks! I had no idea. I will check into these options.
I do have a couple tshirts from BR and Three dots that are longer than average. Very helpful advice.

Hi Dee

I was thinking the same thing as Laura Elizabeth: have you tried shopping in the tall section yet? It might work.
I typed in "tall" at shopstyle.com and got these results, but I'm sure there are many more options out there:

Dee2do, I've also struggled to find tops that are long enough - I'm a tall pear and have had great luck finding tall tops at BR, Gap, and Old Navy. J crew is starting to carry tall wovens too. The downside is that tall sized tops are only available online, so it's best to find a store that offers free returns.

I buy a few things at consignment or thrift stores, and was able to find two sweaters that fit because they were a tunic style - well, on a shorter woman it would be a tunic length, but for me it hit at low hip - it was perfect! You can also try things on in the stores you usually go to, and see if it's possible to let down a hem. I hope this helps!

I am a pear with a long torso short legs. I didn't realize until I joined this forum that one of my biggest problems with clothes is finding tops that are long enough. I recently purchsed a maternity top because it falls about mid hip and it's the only top in my closet that I now like for that reason. Almost everything else ends at the top of the hip. Brands I usually wear are AT, ATL, BR, caslon, halogen.
Can anyone recommend how to find longer tops or where to go?
