I agree - Im always disappointed with Old Navy. I am usually happy b/c of their size/style - but often I find things don't last or lose their shape quickly.

Thanks ladies. I'll see if I can get up the gumption to do some posting of outfits - still a bit scary for me as I am in process of evolving into a style.

I ended up on the treadmill instead of shopping since i figured it was a better way to solve the problem in the long run.

I like some of the Target things as well as Nordstroms(or Nordstroms Rack). I wish I had TJ Maxx/Marshalls in my area, i used to shop there all the time. Personally, I'm not found of the Old Navy since their items are quite poor quality in my opinion

Try finding a nice wrap dress, they are very forgiving and will transition between sizes nicely. All the best to you, try to be optomistic and enjoy yourself. I see women of your size look amazing in their clothes. Look for things that fit you, that is one of the keys to looking good no matter what size you are. Also, accessories can really make a difference and are an easy and cost effective way to change things up. Please post pics of your finds! If you have questions, don't be afraid to ask. The ladies on this forum are very helpful.

I do have a Rack & Marshalls close by. Will head in that direction. Just feeling a bit down about it. I don't *LOVE* shopping as it is, so trying to pump myself up with a positive focus.

Thanks for the input.

I am right in your shoes mama23- even my fat clothes are tight right now. I have been shopping and not finding much.
Do you have any discount or close out stores close by? A Rack would be my #1 pick, but Marshall's is also fun. Gap would also be a good place to go- or Gap or Banana Republic outlet. Right now is hard because the winter stuff is on close out, and the spring stuff isn't fully stocked.

Feeling like I need some new basics. Feeling out of shape for my closet after the holidays. Most of my stuff isn't fitting right & I need something to feel good now & get my groove back. I'm about a size 16 - most of my stuff is 12/14 - so I only have my 'fat clothes' left.

Where should I head? Would like to get a couple of basic good pieces & maybe one or two fun things. Challenge is not wanting to spend too much on pieces I hope to be out of, but still nice enough to feel good now.

Nordy's?
Target?
Old Navy?
Macy's
Belk?

more? Needing some inspiration here. tx.
