I don't know if it is the cork/espadrille connection, or what. I just did a search on Nordstrom: party/evening flats in beige, and only eight came up. The first two were under $150; the rest were between $525 and $975. Ouch! Maybe Zappo's will have something? I agree with Kiwigal/Sally's suggested uses and I also think they would work with shorts that are fairly dressy. Not sure what your skin color is but these would be good "low contrast" shoes for a lot of light to medium skin tones. Now that I'm looking at them at the Anthro site I'm really liking the piping too....hmm.... I have bought a similar pair and found them very useful. I could see them - with jeans - with a knee length skirt or dress - ankle or cropped pants I would wear them at night except for cocktail or black tie. What is the dressy range for these shoes? I can see them with crisp jeans in a heartbeat, maybe a summer dress, or to the office. Are they too casual for night? Too dressy with shorts? If they were smooth leather would they be more or less casual? <div> </div><div>I've been looking for an interesting pair of nude-to-me flats since I can't wear pumps, but I want them on the dressier side.
