I recommend Uniqlo for reasonably priced jeans (I'm pear-shaped, with a bubble butt/ thunder thighs/ wide hips/ lower stomach pooch & also a defined waist, so I understand the curvy fit issue all too well lol).

My Uniqlo pair of jeans are a pull-on, stretchy dark wash style with heattech built into them (I'm a teacher, so mobility trumps stiffer denim for me). But Uniqlo also stock a wide range of looks & sizes if you're looking for taller fits in a lighter wash or weight than mine. Good luck!

My go to is Madewell. I like all the high rise styles, but especially the mom jeans. I’m short-waisted but longer in the rise. I like straight, wide or slightly tapered legs - I need room in the thighs and legs, not as much in the rear/hips.

My go-to brand is Hudson Jeans.
I have to buy them online because my local Nordstrom doesn't carry them in store, online only. Thankfully so far the sizing and fit has been very consistent even across different styles.

I need tall but small sizes which are also hard to find. My favorite in the past few years have been J Brand Carolina jeans; The Carolinas are a High Rise skinny jean with a 32 inch inseam.

Leaving no retail stone unturned, I like Talbot’s curvy cut jean.
I never see them mentioned here.
I think I like them because I can reliably find black, white and grey jeans.

Right now, they only have one tall curvy cut jean in white.
There is a good online sale today if you are thinking of trying them.

I have a very long rise so am loving the high rise trend. My go-tos are nydj (Marilyn straight or Alina skinny, which are not very skinny) and pilcro. Neither is cheap but they last a long time! I'm wearing nydj's now that I've worn all day, well over 100 times, and still are not showing signs of wear.

It can be really tough when you are curvy and tall. Madewell and J. Crew have a few denim selections in curvy fits and also carry talls, so I would check there (though that would be online only).

I have a curvy 8 figure and find that Good American often works well. I also just ordered a pair of Mother jeans, which seem to fit well, though that is my first experience with the brand. Free People also has their CRVY line, and I think the inseams often are generous.

I haven't had luck with Paige or Kut, though I've tried only a few of their styles. Not sure why they don't work for me.

I've had luck with NYDJ, Chicos, and Loft's "modern" fit, but the main key for me is A Lot of stretch! I'm 8 shape, long rise, round backside, and short waist. Even at my smallest (which is not now) jeans are very problematic.

Nodding my head on Paige, KUT and NYDJ. In addition, I almost always find a good fit with Wit and Wisdom and Pilcro. W&W is often on sale at Nordstrom Rack, so a good one to watch for.

My shape is also a challenge to fit jeans off the rack. I am pear-ish on the bottom with a high rise, and in-between most tall and regular inseams (32.5"). I almost always have to have the waist nipped in jeans and pants.

Best brands for me have been Mother (Desperado), Frame (le Nouveau), Levi's (501 classic), Good American (Good legs), AG (Stevie), and some of Paige's cuts (Brigette is my favorite). With Paige, I find the lower cotton content over time develops this weird puckering - as if the elastic has stretched out too far - under the front pockets.

I like boyfriend or straight cuts best and with at least 98% cotton.

I recently discovered a pair of Madewell "slim wideleg" that fit right off the rack and I love LOVE them.

Caveats for fit: I’m short in the rise and long-legged, but with big thighs and wide hips but not much booty. That said, I have had the most luck with: Lucky Brand (Lolita and sweet straight cuts), some Gap cuts, some Paige cuts, Kut, COH, and AG. A new favorite is DL1961 —they run a little big too. I have very little tolerance for super skinny jeans anymore, and much prefer straights or bootcuts these days.

Jeans are hard for me to fit. I have tried on everything from high end to whatever. I find I end up feeling like what Joy said that I must have a weird body. Why can't I just find some jeans to fit me?
I have a couple of pairs that fit me really well and I do not have "home" jeans and "going out" jeans. I have too much trouble finding any jeans so they are just jeans.
I have a long rise. That is probably part of my struggle.
I have a pear/hourglass figure. That is not such a big deal because I can always get the waist fixed. I find some jeans are cut for straight bodies and they just do not work for me.
I can not wear skinnies. I look like an ice cream cone. Not my goal.
I could go on but I will stop.
My go to jeans are probably not necessarily going to work for everyone but they work for me.
1/ Banana Republic Wide-Legged High Rise
2/ Fidelity OH Boy! Boyfriend High Rise
Fidelity is usually a good label for me. They fit me really well no matter what the style.
3/ Some Levis

I have bought jeans at Target and Nordstrom Rack the most. At the Rack I look for brands I have seen recommended on YLF or Paige Hoxtons . For awhile my first place to look was Lucky, then KUT. I still like those brands but the waist bands are not in the right place. Now I am looking for white jeans with an elastic waist or something that works and does not press on or bump the glucose meter. The best are low rise on me, strangely they might say they are high rise or even u,tra high rise. I must have a strange body.

Also a tall curvy girl and wear anything from US 14 to US 18 just depending on my body comp and weight. I remember Gap fitting me well. But I haven’t tried them in several years and my body has changed some. (Still need curvy and still same shape—but I’ve put on muscle and had a baby. So the same yet not the same.)

I’m currently trialing NYDJ skinny pull-on style. I loooove the curve factor for these. Back of thighs is smooth—no creasing and horizontal pulling. (Pet peeve.) No gaping at back waistline. This specific cut is especially snug so I may need to size up. They go up in sizes and feature talls I believe. Their sale prices right now are fabulous. Worth trying them!

Side note: ON discontinued their curvy cut? Seriously? I’m peeved. They never fit me fabulously but they fit well enough to be good everyday jeans.

I'm a rather tall pear and Mango jeans and trousers almost always work for me. They're long enough, and offer enough room in the hip area while being snug enough at the waist.
Citizens of Humanity bootcuts are a perfect fit, but they are much more expensive.
Gap jeans in Tall sizes sometimes work too - but more randomly.
Given how their slacks fit me, I guess Boden jeans would be OK too.

Old Navy’s curvy cut used to be my go to for economical every day jeans. But they’ve discontinued it and nothing they suggest as an alternative has worked for me. Loft and AT still have a curvy cut, but only online and since I need both curvy cut, talls and a cusp size my size usually sells out before I can nab it. The Chico’s girlfriend jeans work for me as a dressier option but feel too fancy for every day, especially under current circumstances. I’ve got one pair of Duluth Trading jeans I really like but again the sturdiness is somewhat overkill for a stay at home lifestyle.

Tl;dr but I guess I’m just looking for options to try in the future when I can go to stores. What brands and cuts are your “this always works” option?
