For my wedding, I used Dr. Ray shapewear with great results. From what I've read, sizing up often eliminates the rolling, as others have already stated.

I have tried Spanx, but they don't work for me because I'm only 5'0" and the vertical proportions are all wrong.

I would say:

1) Try going up a size in control wear - this may eliminate rollage.

2) Try a cami that has a lot of stretch. In other words, try control from the top down instead of the bottom up. Does that make sense? Or do both, but the cami will help streamline the middle section, while also giving you double-layer of control below the waist.

This is a tactic I use quite often, actually! I highly recommend BR camis. They have them right now in white, nude, black, with or without lace. Just enough stretch and control to smooth over lumps and bumps.

I already own two very cheap items, and they actually work very well, but they always roll down to the waist and dig in. Have any of you tried the spanx with straps that attach to your bra? I was hoping they would solve the problem, but they're $75. I would gladly pay that much for a perfect bra, but maybe not for glorified control top hose, unless they're a lot more comfortable than what I have now. Do you know of any other brands with firm control, that don't roll up on the leg or down on the waist?
