I picked up some white lace ups from H&amp;M and some pink perforated slip on trainers from Clarks. I wore the white ones yesterday with a flowery cotton dress I wore the night before with heeled sandals for a night out. I usually find it a bit too posh for casual wear but with the sneakers and denim jacket it was perfect. I prefer the look of unbranded sneakers from fashion shops rather than proper sports trainers from sports shops. It's partly because I do a lot of different exercise activities during which I wear sneakers (this is the same reason I'm not big on leggings-as-pants) and I thus like a different look for the rest of the day, and partly because I have big feet.</p> <p>If you're going to do it, I think that the sneakers have to be immaculately clean and look very much like an intentional juxtaposition with the rest of the look.
