Moody or jewel-tone florals, abstracts, and certain plaids appeal to me. I've also noticed that some of the more interesting prints I've seen lately are on styles that don't appeal to me (too boho or too weird) or the fabric is cheap or has a feel I don't like. It's kind of funny that the printed item I've bought most recently is the Topshop booties.  I don't know where to send you -- I haven't been shopping much lately -- but if I see something promising, I'll let you know. My FFBO is jeans, patterned top and a cardigan or jacket.  My understanding (based on having done a couple of visas for fashion and textile designers) is that the mid- and low-range brands likely do not design their own prints, but buy the print (and maybe the fabric) from another design house. Beyond places you've mentioned, Reiss sometimes has prints that are not quite along the beaten track, as does Yumi Kim.
